As a nation that loves movies, the characters that we see on screen have a big impact on our minds.

Especially when it comes to fashion, we love to dress up like our favourite characters from movies and fashion trends in India change according to the type of clothes worn by our favourite stars in movies.

So, lets us take a look at some stylish characters from Bollywood movies that we loved.

Mastani in Bajirao Mastani

From her intricately designed lavish anarkalis in gold and red hues to her gigantic nose-ring, Mastani was a true vision on the screen. Her matha jhoomar (hair ornament worn on one side) added to the exquisite beauty of Mastano and the minimal makeup look brought out the best of Deepika Padukone’s features. This utterly surreal look stole a lot of hearts for sure.

Naina in Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani

Another one of Deepika Padukone’s looks, this character showed the transition of a geeky quiet girl becoming a style-diva of sorts. Her cobalt blue saree in the song Badtameez Dil is an iconic look of recent times and had the audience looking at Naina in awe. Her ultra-short shorts in Balam Pichkari also set the screen on fire and the look really caught on.

Neha in Dostana

Priyanka Chopra played the cool Neha in Dostana and her outfits and hairstyle in the movie had set some real fashion-goals. Her famous gold bikini moment was a milestone for her as well as for the Bollywood screen and she carried it with amazing style and confidence. Her perfectly sculpted body and her confidence had people wishing for the same. Also, she wore a nude saree with a bikini blouse in the Desi Girl song that became a rage instantly.

Miyanbhai in Raees

Shah Rukh Khan has aced many iconic looks in the past from Baazigar to Don. But, his more recent look as Miyanbhai in Raees definitely had the intensity and swag that made people fall in love with him all over again.

His kohl-lined eyes along with the Pathanis and the big collars were an instant hit. His statement glasses were also widely noted by the audience and made a style statement with a bang.

Ram in Ramleela

Ranveer Singh played the bold and bratty Ram in Ramleela and he had a rustic charm that was could just not be missed. From his handlebar moustache to his traditional Gujrati clothes had the audience going ‘wow' every time he appeared on the screen. Ram oozed hotness and a certain raw tinge that was a combination to die for. His look is sure to be remembered for a long time to come.

Jordan in Rockstar

The rebellious Jordan was a character that catapulted Ranbir Kapoor as one of the best actors of our times. He sported various looks throughout the film, but the most famous look is his harems pants, kurtas and headbands look that perfectly portrayed the spirit of Jordan. His carefree attitude came through via his clothes and we loved it to bits.

Shanaya in Student of the Year

Marking Alia Bhatt’s debut, Shanaya in Student of the Year was definitely a stylish and refreshing character. Every look that Shanaya sported in the movie looks perfectly put together and exudes youth and vibrancy. Her most stunning look in the movie is her flashy pink and silver lehenga that looked straight out of a fashionista’s dream. The look became very popular and made the rounds at many parties that festive season.

Geet in Jab We Met

Jab We Met was a landmark film in many ways and the best thing about the movie was certainly Geet. Kareena Kapoor played this firecracker of a character and it was one of the best performances of her career. Her attire in the film set major fashion trends and had people flocking to the shops for similar clothes. Her Patiala pants with tight tops, full phulkari salwar kameez sets, jean and t-shirt look with Patiala scarves, etc caught on with the youth big time.
