Right from choosing the right ways to give birth without necessarily taking the easier route to making sure that the child’s diet is perfectly balanced, today’s moms shoulder a huge responsibility in the journey of bringing their kids up.
Right from choosing the right ways to give birth without necessarily taking the easier route to making sure that the child’s diet is perfectly balanced, today’s moms shoulder a huge responsibility in the journey of bringing their kids up.
Today, let’s talk about one such supermom who has been giving us lunchbox goals every single day!
Divya Iyer lives in Chicago, USA and is a mother of two precious girls aged 9 and 5. She believes in packing healthy and attractive lunch boxes for her tiny tots. She says that she was motivated to craft special lunch boxes by her elder daughter who takes a lot of interest in enjoying good food.
Just like all the other busy moms all over the world, Divya too faces a time crunch in the mornings and hence comes up with recipes that take less than 30 minutes to prepare. When the recipes need a little more prep work, she tries to finish a bit of it the previous night. This includes elaborate procedures like grinding masalas, making sauces, etc.
She uses only fresh vegetables and fruits and she believes in giving her daughters a healthy vegetarian meal every day. So, her lunch box recipes are always egg-free and meat-free.
With so many junk food temptations around them, children tend to get distracted and crave for unhealthy food. It is our job as parents to teach them what is good for their body and what is not. After all, it is healthy food that becomes the building blocks for their overall health in the present as well as in the future.
By presenting healthy home cooked food in an eye-catching and attractive manner, we can make sure that the children don't look outside for tasty food and get hooked on to junk food. Divya proves that healthy food can be as yummy and delicious looking as any junk food.
So, take a look at some of her lunch box creations and get inspired. Her drool-worthy lunch boxes are sure to captivate not just the kids but will give serious cravings to you too! She proves that all it takes to make lunch boxes interesting is a bit of creativity and loads of love!
