I remember so many hobbies which I had as a little champ. But I have never considered kite flying as my game as I thought it is little difficult. I have to depend on others to prepare a kite, fly it and maintain its pace because I am not used to doing it.

I got a chance one day when I was in grade VI. We had celebrated Pongal festival at school. As a part of festival we were instructed to fly a kite. I had a friend who helped to make a kite. I remember very well the color paper that I had used in making that kite. It was a pink and a violet combination, a triangular shaped, smiling kite. It was a very big achievement according to me at that time because making kite was very difficult for me. Finally I did it. But I didn’t know that an even more challenging task was to fly that in the air. I had to run either side nearly more than 10 times but to no use. The flow of air was not cooperating. Then finally I knew how to do it. And my kite started flying in the air. I could see my kite slowly rising in the air. It rose to a particular height. I saw my kite happily flying along with the other kites. And finally I knew how to fly the kite. The pleasure in flying my own kite which I made with my hand was really amazing.
